Chamomile Flowers

Chamomile has a short term sedative effect and helps reduce anxiety. It really does help improve the length and quality of sleep for many people.


Regular consumption of chamomile tea has also been shown to improve blood sugar level control and blood lipid profiles for people with type-2 diabetes.


NOTE that some people have an allergic reaction to chamomile tea. Do not drink this tea if you have an allergic reaction to camomile.

Lemon Balm Leaf

Lemon balm is high in anti-oxidants. Some of these very helpful compounds are also effective in reducing anxiety and improving sleep quality.

Lemon balm leaf is also a mild sedative, and helps improve sleep by helping you to fall asleep faster, and keeping you in a sleep phase.

There is a synergistic effect with lavender – that is, the effect of adding lavender and lemon balm together are stronger than combining the effects of each individually.

Lemon balm also helps prevent memory disorders and neurodegenerative diseases, through the anti-inflammatory effects and inhibition of plaque formation in the brain.

Passionflower is a herbal sedative that has been shown to improve sleep quality and total sleep time. 


It also helps improve brain function and reduces anxiety.


Lavender Flowers

Lavender tea improves sleep and reduces fatigue and depression. There is also evidence it reduces restlessness and disturbed sleep and improves mood. Lavender has a sedative effect and helps to induce relaxation. There is even some evidence that lavender may help with pain relief.

Ashwaganda Root

Ashwaganda (Indian ginseng) helps to induce sleep and improves sleep quality. It also reduces fatigue and improvces mood.

It also helps reduce stress (by lowering cortisol) and improves testosterone production in men. 

Ashwaganda is also a powerful anti-inflammatory and has been used to cure ulcers and swelling in Ayurvedic medicine.

It also has a neuro-protective effect and can help with brain disorders other than depression (Alzheimers, autism, addiction, ADHD, and more).
