Upon arrival for your percussion massage session, we’ll discuss your areas of concern in the body and demonstrate how to use the percussion massage device.

Loose clothing, or leggings, is fine to wear, so you can easily reach any tight or sore muscles easily. Once you’re seated and feeling confident, we’ll let you employ the percussion massage gun yourself and be close by for any questions you might have throughout your session.

For most effective results, percussion massage is available for use before your cryotherapy session.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • You will be guided to our Recovery Lounge where you can take a seat.
  • It is a good idea to wear tight clothes, or very loose and light clothing.
  • Our Recovery staff will demonstrate how to use the massage gun.
  • We recommend using the massage gun for about 2 minutes.
  • You are welcome to bring your own music, but you must use headphones.
  • You can simply hand the massage gun back to our Recovery staff when you are done.
  • We supply water for you for free and you are welcome to bring your own recovery fluids.

HOW DOES A MASSAGE GUN WORK?

WHO SHOULD USE A MASSAGE GUN?

You should use a massage gun if you have tight or stiff muscles or a muscle injury.

WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE?

No dress code, but give yourself easy access to the area you want to treat (leave the tuxedo at home).

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I GET TREATMENTS?

It is important to not over-use a massage gun. The waves of pressure create micro-traumas, and while short bursts can help relieve pain, too much can make the problem worse.

So follow the instructions:

For muscle activation before exercise, use for about 30 seconds.

For recovery and pain relief, use the massage gun for up to 2 minutes, but no more.

It might be more convenient for you to have your own massage gun, to repeat treatments for short bursts of 30 seconds throughout the day post-training, every 1-2 hours.

CAN I BUY MY OWN MASSAGE GUN?

Yes, Recovery Jungle sell our own massage guns at the shop or online. We have a highly reputable manufacturer and sell the same massage guns that we use in the shops.

DO I NEED TO BRING ANYTHING ALONG WITH ME?

No, we provide towels and water, but you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer.

CAN I LISTEN TO MY MUSIC OR AUDIO?

Yes, but you need to bring headphones for the comfort of others.
